Biography

Thomas, the son of Thomas and Mary Ann Cole, was baptised at Holy Trinity Churche, Knowle, Bristol on 3rd March 1878. The family was living at 15 Windsor Terrace, and his father was a Carpeter ^[1].

In 1881 Thomas H. (born Bristol Gloucestershire) was 3 and living with his mother Mary A. (head of the household, married, born Rose Ashe, Devon, aged 37), and brother Frederick E (0, born Bristol, Gloucestershire) at 15, Windsor Terrace, Bedminster, Somerset, England ^[2].

In 1891 Thomas H. (born Bristol Gloucestershire) was 13 and living with his widowed mother Mary A, (born Rose Ashe, Devon, aged 47), and siblings Frederick E (10), Herbert J (8) and Mabel L (5) at 6, Saxe Weimar Rd The Hawthorns, Landport, Portsey, Hampshire, England. His younger siblings were all born in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Also in the household was lodger John B. Jones (a joiner, 34, born Queen Camel, Somerset)^[3].

In 1901 Thomas H. (born Bristol, Gloucestershire) was a wood Joiner aged 23 and living with his father Thomas, also a Joiner (51, born Rose Ash, Devon) and mother Mary A, (born Rose Ash, Devon, aged 57), together with his siblings Herbert J (18) and Mabel L (15) at 126, Alma Road, Winton, Christchurch, Hampshire, England d ^[4].

In 1911 Thomas Henry was 33, a building joiner living with his wife Alice (1879-1965) (29, born Westbourne, Hampshire, England) and daughters Kathleen Mary Mabel (Cole) Moir (1906-1993) (4, born Bournemouth, Hampshire) and Marjorie Alice (Cole) Hendy (1910-1994) (11 months, born Bournemouth, Hampshire). The family was living at Tresco Green Road, Winton, Bournemouth ^[5].

Thomas died on 3rd January 1918 in Southampton, Hampshire ^[6].
