Find Body In River
Water Police yesterday recovered from the Brisbane River the body of a man believed to have drowned while fishing at the weekend. He was Alphonsus Colahan, 48, of Pratten Street, Petrie Terrace.
Police learned that a man who was fishing with Colahan went to sleep about 2 a.m. on Sunday, and when he awoke Colahan was missing. The man told police he thought Colahan had gone home. Police believe Colahan lost his footing on a pontoon from which he was fishing at O'Connor Boathouse, Coronation Drive, City. [7]

Nan did speak about her father quiet fondly but I gather she did not spend so much time with him.
