Biography

George was born in 1848 and his father was James Coker. In 1868 he was living at Little Melton was engaged to Mary Ann Bailey of Hethersett Norfolk when their marriage banns were first read on the 24th May 1868. This marriage did not apparantly take place and he later on the 22 October 1875, at the age of 27 married Judith Sword aged 39 (daughter of John Palmer) presumably indicating her previous marriage
