American aerospace and electrical engineer who built the Abort-Guidance System in the Lunar Excursion Module that brought the Apollo13 astronauts home safely, Judy Cohen also authored and published the "You Can Be a Woman..." series of children's books encouraging young women to join professional careers such as engineering.

Judith, daughter of Morris Cohen & Sarah Roisman, was born in 1933 and grew up in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States.[1]

Judith (age 18), married Bernard Siegel (age 21) on 2 August 1952 in Los Angeles, California, United States.[2] They had three children.

Judith (age 32) married Thomas W Black (age 24) in 1966 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States.[3] They had one child, actor Jack Black. Judy and Tom divorced 19 September 1980 in Los Angeles, California.[4]

Judith (age 47) married David A Katz (age 31) in 1981 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States.[5] Judith and David resided in Beverly Hills, California and were married 35 years. [6]

Cohen's son Howard Siegel died on 3 December 1991 in Los Angeles, California, United States.[7]

Judith died on 25 July 2016 and was buried in Mission Hills, Los Angeles, California, United States. [8]
