Biography

Joshua was born 06 Apr 1792, the son of Prince Coffin and Experience Ells, who moved from Nantucket, Massachusetts to Kings County, Nova Scotia circa 1776^{[1] [2]}

On March 6, 1815, he married Elizabeth Lounsbury, daughter of Michael Lounsbury^[2], and their children included^[3]:

1. Prince, born December 12, 1815^[3]
2. Henry, born September 24, 1817^[3]
3. Zephunia (Son), born March 17, 1820^[3]
4. Mary Coffin 1821–1866^[3]
5. Ann Coffin 1822–1870, who married Elisha West ^[3]
6. John born May 6, 1822, who married Abigail Trefry^[4]

Joshua Coffin died 20 Sep 1864^[2], and he is buried in the Riverbank Cemetery in Hantsport, Hants County, Nova Scotia^[1]
