COCKBURN-BROWN.-On the 13th May, at Longformaeus House, Berkshire, by the Rev. Geoorge Cook, B.D., John Alexander Cockburn, M.D., Lond., to Sarah Holdway Brown, fourth daughter of the late Hon. Forbes Scott, Brown, of Longformaeus and Glugar, Penang. The South Australian Advertiser (Adelaide, SA : 1858 - 1889), p. 4.
They emigrated to South Australia on the Hesperus, arriving on the 22nd of September, 1875[4], where they had two children: Piers Alexander Cockburn, born 1876; and Margaret Stuart Cockburn, born 1880.
