Archibald Douglas Cochrane was a son of Thomas Horatio Arthur Ernest Cochrane and Lady Gertrude Julia Georgina Boyle, born on the 8th of Jan 1885 in Fife, Scotland.

He married Hon. Julia Dorothy Cornwallis, daughter of Fiennes Stanley Wykeham Cornwallis, 1st Baron Cornwallis and Mabel Leigh, on 6 January 1926.^[1]

He died on 16 April 1958 at age 73 in Scotland.^[2]
