His wife was Bettie Ann Parsons. He had 3 siblings who walked the Trail of Tears. It is unknown as to why he escaped that fate also as he is listed on the Cherokee rolls. His mother Nancy Cloud was full blood Cherokee, and his father, John A. Cochran, Sr. was 1/2 Cherokee. Both his parents were also listed on Cherokee rolls. John, Jr. passed away in 1885. Documentation includes his marriage records, certified will, census records, Cherokee rolls.
