Jeremiah left Bristol, England in March of 1662 aboard the "Huntsman" and arrived in America between April 30 and May 13, 1662. Jeremiah came to America as a servant to John Vining who was baptized at Wincanton, County Somersetshire, England 17 April 1636 and came to America in 1652 on "Mr. Stratton's Ship" to Weymouth, Massachusetts and died there February 1685.

The original source was Coldham, Peter Willson's "The Complete Book of Emigrants: A Comprehensive Listing Compiled from English Public Records of Those Who Took Ship to the Americas for Political, Religious, and Economic Reasons; of those who were sold to labour in the new colonies". Baltimore Genealogical Publishing Co. 1661-1699. 1990. 894p.
Jeremiah was a soldier at the Garrison at Hadley, Mass. 23 Sept. 1675 during King Philip's War. He was of the Old Norfolk Regiment under Major Robert Pike [who's also a direct ancestor of the author] from Salisbury, Massachusetts with Thomas Bradbury, Captain [another direct ancestor]. He was one of the soldiers sent to Hatfield, Massachusetts in 1676.
In the Bristol Registers [England]; a listing of "Servants sent to Foreign Plantations" from 1654-1686 shows a listing for Jeremiah. Jeremiah Clothier was registered on 5 March 1662/3 as indentured for 8 Years to John Vining of New England. This Indenture would have terminated about 1670/1. A listing in the Mormon records makes reference to Jeremiah Clother and the Wampanog (Indian) tribe in 1672.
