^[6] Before A. B. Tucker a justice of the peace in and for Johnson Township Crawford County, Indiana; Comes Andrew A. Laswell and upon his Oath deposes and Says that on or about the 2nd day of August 1891 that Emma E Laswell was guilty of profanity which was unlawful by Saying to one Larkin Miller that you are a “god dam lire” which was unlawful and contrary to the forms of the Statutes made and provided for in Such cases and against the peace and dignity of the State of Indiana.

^[7]Death Near Grantsburg; Mrs. Sherman Laswell died last Sunday at her home one and a half mile east of Grantsburg, aged about 35 years, after a continued illness of stomach trouble. The remains were buried Monday afternoon. The funeral services were held at the log Church and were largely attended. Mrs. Laswell leaves a husband and five children to mourn her departure. She was a highly respected woman and her death is a loss to the community, who deeply sympathize with the bereaved family.
