In the 1940 census Gladys (age 22) was the single lodger of Geo W Beaton in Fort Lauderdale, Broward, Florida, United States.^[2]

Gladys enlisted in the Us Army Women's Army Corps on 5 December 1942 in Cp Blanding, Florida, United States. She was single, had a high school education, and was working as a cashier. She enlisted as an Aviation Cadet.^[3] She also worked in the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion of the United States Army during World War II.

Gladys (age 29) married David Solomon (age 49) on 10 January 1946 in Broward, Florida, United States.^[4]

In the 1950 census Gladys (age 32) was the wife of David Solomon in Florida City, Dade, Florida, United States.^[5]

Gladys, daughter of Holsey Clayton and Rosetta Andrews, died (age 86) on 21 February 2004.^{[6] [7] [8]}
