Mary Elizabeth Chevallier was baptised on the 10th April, 1809 at Long Melford, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of John Chevallier and his first wife, Caroline Hepburn (1776-1815). [1]
Mary Chevallier married Rev. Charles Boutell (1813-1877).
Like her husband, Mary was an author, and wrote a book called "Picture Natural History". [2]
Mary Elizabeth Chevallier Boutell also wrote under the pseudonym of Alice Hepburn, "Two Little Cousins," [3] "Pollie and Jack: A Small Study for Small People." [4]
She passed away in 1899. [5]
