Biography
Mary Cheadle was born 1818 in Mississippi, the Daughter of Thomas Fleming Cheadle I. and Elizabeth Kemp.
Mary Cheadle was married three times
- 1st marriage was to Lewis Walker at the age of 19. Their children were Tandy C. Walker II[1] and Martha Proffitt nee Walker.
- 2nd marriage was to Isaac Moncrief. Their children were Lucy Victor nee Moncrief and Thomas Moncrief.
- 3rd marriage was to John Johnston II. Their children were William Worth Johnston[2], Benjamin Johnston[3], Napoleon Johnston and Douglas Johnston[4]. Their son, Douglas Hancock Cooper Johnston was the last governor of the Chickasaw Nation.[5]
