Enid Rachel Charlton was born in 21st February 1905 in Ashfield, New South Wales, Australia. She was the younger daughter of Ossy Charlton and Ada Moore. [1]
She became a nurse, enlisting in the Australian Military Force's (Militia) Australian Army Nursing Corps for service during the Second World War. On 22nd October 1942 at Adelaide River, Northern Territory, Enid transferred to the Second Australian Imperial Force, Australia's overseas expeditionary force. The war over, she was demobilised on 26th February 1946. [2]
Aged 69 years, she passed away on 1st January 1975 in the Repatriation General Hospital, Concord, New South Wales. [3]
