Jacob was born on May 30, 1878 at Winona in Scott County, Tennessee, his death certificate says he was born in 1886, his is listed on the 1880 census and he was two years old when the census was taken so he would have been born in 1878. He was the son of William Riley Chambers and Nancy Lawson. He married Rachel Crabtree on May 20, 1900 at Huntsville in Scott County, after she passed away He married Margaret Crabtree on February 4, 1909 in Campbell County, Tennessee. He passed away from sensibility, hepatic cirrhosis and heart failure on June 13, 1942 at Cincinnati in Hamilton County, Ohio.
