Biography

Elynor Love Chalmers Schue was born May 26, 1921 in Grand Forks, North Dakota into the loving family of Carolyn Love and William Percy Chalmers. In a family of five children, two older and two younger brothers, Elynor shared many adventures while growing up on the banks of the Red River.

Elynor attended the University of North Dakota and was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She graduated with a degree in music and physical education and a masters in education. Sports played a big role in her life as part of the UND tennis and golf programs. Her interest in sports continued throughout her life as knowledgeable student and fan.

Elynor was married to Edward B. Schue while he was in the military assigned to Ft. Collins, Colorado. She had two daughters Patricia Kay and Anne Elexina. Throughout Ed's military career their family was able to travel and live in many cities of the United States, Japan and Europe. Elynor loved to travel and learn about the countries she visited and their customs. She especially loved her time spent in Japan.
