Biography

Seth Chadwick was born on August 15, 1805 in Lyme, New London, Connecticut.^[1] He was the son of Guy Chadwick and Mehitable Mather Chadwick.^[2]

Seth married Caroline Rowland on July 27, 1831.^[3]

According to the 1850 US Census, Seth and Caroline were living in Lyme with three children: Samuel, 18; Greg, 15; and Seth, 11.^[4]

In 1870 the family consisted of Seth and Caroline, their son Samuel, 38; Carrie Chadwick, 25, probably Samuel's wife, born in Missouri; Florence, 4, probably their daughter; and son Seth, 32.^[5]

Seth died on January 12, 1871 and is buried in the Waite Cemetery in Old Lyme, Connecticut.^[6]
