While the Viking Age is generally thought to be described as the period from 793 A.D. (the invasion at Lindesfarne) until 1066 A.D. (the invasion of England by the Normans) although this is not strictly accurate for the time frame of this category.
This category will more or less include the time span from abt. 700 and until abt. 1200, thus including the long period of the transition and recognition of the kingdoms of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Any profile that is born and/or died in what later would be the countries of Denmark, Norway or Sweden (between the years 700-1199) should be added directly under this category.
Any profile born and/or died in the Viking settlements outside Scandinavia in this time period should be added to the lowest category within a suitable sub-category.
