The Earl of Norfolk is a title which has been created several times in the Peerage of England.

Originally created in 1070, shortly after the Norman Invasion of England, for Ralph the Staller (Constable), who was a survivor of the pre-conquest nobility.

The first major dynasty to hold the title was the Bigod family and the title remained with this family for around 200 years.
