    MR. W. J. CASSELLS.
On Sunday morning last there passed to his eternal reward at the Lewisham Private Hospital one of the most widely-known and highly respected residents of the Burrowa district, in the person of Mr. W. J. Cassells, of Frogmore. When the news of his death went abroad, there was not a heart throughout the district untouched with profound sorrow for his demise.
He was a general favorite throughout the Frogmore district, and by his kind, affectionate, and genial disposition he won the admiration and respect of everyone who had the privilege of making his acquaintance. The deceased had been ailing for some considerable time, and his death came as a happy release to his sufferings, which he bore at all times with true Christian fortitude. About twelve weeks ago he was compelled to enter the Lewisham Private Hospital. During his stay in the Institution, though suffering intensely, he was never once heard to murmur, and he received spiritual consolation from the Chaplain, who also administered the last Sacraments. The late Mr. Cassells who had attained the age of 60 years, was a native of Victoria, and came over to this State at a very early age, at first settling in the Binalong district. In later years he followed agricultural pursuits, and about 32 years ago married Mrs. O'Neill, widow of the late Mr. Henry O'Neill, of Frogmore. Previous to his illness he took a keen interest in all movements that had for their object the welfare of the community and the progress of the district, until failing health caused him to retire from taking any active part in local affairs.
He was an affectionate husband and father, and leaves behind a wife and only son, for whom we have the sincerest sympathy.
On Tuesday morning the remains were brought to Borrowa, and Mass was celebrated for his eternal repose in St. Patrick's Church, and later the funeral which was very largely attended, left for the Catholics cemetery at Frogmore, where the remains were laid to rest. The Rev. Fr. Bailey officiated at the graveside, and the funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. J. J. Cummins.
