His occupation in 1901 Census, LOT CA15, is plasterer ,age 21 . John "Jack" Casford d.June 15,1947 and is buried in Peoples'cemetery, Charlottetown, with his parents. Anastasia (Doyle) Casford is buried in the Roman Catholic section of Peoples cemetery, Charlottetown,PEI. They had 2 sons, Maurice and Louis who died during WW2. They were snipers. Pte.Louis J.Casford ,Royal Can. Regiment , Serial # F/82326, died in action on 30 May,1944 . Interred in the Cassino Canadian War Cemetery , Italy , in the Province of Frosinone , 139 km. southeast of Rome. Pte. Maurice Casford ,West Nova Scotia Highlanders , Serial# F/60648. Interred in the Ravena War Cemetery, Italy (located between Florence and Venice). John and Annie's son, Lorne W. Casford, b. 1920 , lived in Charlottetown,PEI. He never married, and had no children. Lorne W. Casford died September 16, 2003 at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Charlottetown, PEI  ; age 83 years . He is buried in the Roman Catholic section of People's cemetery, Charlottetown, PEI, with his mother. Lorne' s estate executor was Roddy Diamond. My mother, Elaine, remembers her uncle 'Jack' with very fond memories. She says he was very kind , and always had a smile for everyone.
