Biography

Mary (Casey) Walker was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England.

Mary Casey (1888-1970) was born in Toxteth Park, Liverpool on the 7th May 1888 ^{[1] [2] [3]} and christened on the 20th May 1888 at St Peter's church in Liverpool. She was the daughter of Samuel James Casey and Alice Lancelot. ^[2]

The family were living in Ouse Street, Toxteth Park in 1891 ^[4] but had moved to Haliburton Street before 1901. ^[5] When she left school she obtained work as a housemaid and was living and working at Belvidere Road, Toxteth Park in 1911. ^[6]

She married Robert Mark Walker the following year on the 6th April 1912 at St Silas, Toxteth Park. ^{[7] [8]}

They lived on Bouverie Street in Toxteth Park for over a decade ^{[9] [10] [11]} and would have 3 daughters, moving in the early 1930s to Belgrave Road, Toxteth Park ^{[12] [3]}

Her husband died during the war but Mary remained at Belgrave Road for over 20 further years, ^{[13] [14]} and was still in residence there when she died in September 1970. ^[15]

She was buried in Allerton Cemetery on the 1st October 1970. ^[16]
