Biography

Anne was born in 1832 and passed away in 1901. She married Richard Farrell and had the following children: Timothy S Farrell 1854–1935; Margaret A Farrell Rubbert 1857–1927; John M Farrell 1858–1918; Richard Farrell 1860–1861; Mary Farrell 1862–1867; James P Farrell 1864–1927; William Farrell 1869–1870; Michael A Farrell 1871–1957; and Agnes L Farrell Murphy 1873–1958. She's buried at Saint Mary of Pine Bluff Catholic Church Cemetery, Pine Bluff, Dane, Wisconsin, USA. [1]

Ann Casey, 21, of Clyde Township, married Richard O. Farrell, 23, of Clyde Township, 9 June 1853 in St Clair, Michigan, USA. The record also indicates Patrick Casey & Margaret Casey, both of Plympton, Canada West. [2] [3]

[Note: It's likely Patrick and Margaret Casey were the witnesses. Anne's parents were John and Ann.]

In 1900, Anna Farrell, age 68, was living in Cross Plains, Dane, Wisconsin, with her husband, Richard, age 70, and their children: Michael, age 29, TJ Murphy (daughter), age 27; and their grandchildren: Olive, age 5, Oswald, age 4, Iner An. Murphy, age 2. Richard and Anna were born in Ireland. Michael was born in Missouri, USA. The rest of the children were born in Wisconsin. Richard and Anna immigrated in 1841. Anna was the mother of 10 children. [4]

On 6 Dec 1901, at her home at Mt. Horeb, Mrs. Ann Farrell, wife of Richard Farrell, died, aged 70. She came to Wisconsin from Canada forty years ago, and lived 30 years at Pine Bluff, and since last Spring at Mt Horeb. She leaves seven children, Timothy Farrell, of Kimball, S.D., John M. Farrell, Michael Farrell, Mrs. A. Rupert, of Pine Bluff, Mrs. John Brown, of Riley, James Farrell, of Chicago, and Mrs. Agnes Murphy, of Mt. Horeb. The funeral was on 9 Dec 1901, and the largest at Pine Bluff in many years. She was a good wife, a good mother, an exemplary Christian, and all her friends, far and near now can do is is not to forget her in prayer.[5]
