Hi Gillian. I just had a look at the death record for Harold Partridge: https://ancestry.prf.hn/click/camref:1011l4xx5/type:cpc/destination:https://www.ancestry.com/sharing/27544752?h=fa5c34 but it looks as if the man who died in Missouri was a different person to the one who was the son of William Partridge and Louisa Rose Howard (date and place of birth and parents' details all different) - they were cousins. BUT there is already a profile for Harold from Derby: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Partridge-2184

Hi Nic,

I have enjoyed my first year of being active in WT and the England Project, I still feel I have so much to learn but I am am happy to stay in my local Northamptonshire team and learn the ropes as a Trailblazer. I have enjoyed the various challenges and felt I learnt a lot from them and also from the 'thons. Discord is really good for picking up tips as well. Gillian

    Hi Gillian

Thank you for joining the Mighty Oaks for the Clean-A-Thon and congratulations on your work during the CAT what an amazing result for the Mighty Oaks we fixed  32,841 suggestions.

Altogether the teams fixed a grand total of 233,558 profile suggestions.  We hope you had fun while cleaning the tree.

For the template to add to your profile go to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:Clean-a-Thon  you will need to amend it to this year. See the Mighty Oaks page

See you later in the year for the Connect-A-Thon

PS I did my SRN training at Basingstoke DGH (1975- 1978) and did my Psychiatric secondment at Park Prewett Psychiatric hospital -remember those underground tunnels well. Ah the memories

It's a small world! Didn't know about the tunnels, we always walked about the site on the roads. It's extraordinary to think that that kind of hospital disappeared virtually overnight, as you say 'the memories'!
Hi Gillian,

It's that time of the year again: check-in time! As England Project Leaders, we like to check in with you every six months or so to see how things are progressing. Back in May, we didn't ask for a response due to the rapid emergence of Covid-19 because we understood that people's lives were changing rapidly. While we are still living in a Covid world, we do need to hear back from you this time around.

First of all, how are you doing? What are you currently working on? Are you happy with the team(s) you're in, or would you like to change things up?

Secondly, we're looking for some feedback on the Google Group and our Discord server. Do you use either or both of these? If you don't use either, why not? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve participation and collaboration, either generally or for you personally?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Amy, Joan & Lizzie.

Hi, Gillian. Fairly confident about the William Haselwood merge, but I've made it an unmerged match as I think we need some evidence to tie the two together which I haven't found yet. Do you have anything? C

Hi Gillian,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

Now that you have had a little time to try our site, there are a few more features you may find useful:

For instance, ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards; including some tips on writing biographies

Also a friendly reminder about adding sources and references to your profile. Sources are critically important for genealogy and you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from.
