Zacharias Carthew emigrated to the Colony of South Australia in 1847. He traveled with his wife Elizabeth and children: Elizabeth, Ann, John, Zacharias, Stephen and Thomas on the immigrant ship Rajah.
He passed away in 1856 at or about Kapunda in the Colony of South Australia.
