Mary, child of daughter of Henry Carthew (1819–1905) and Sarah Booker (~1826–~1905), was born on 30 November 1850 in Kapunda.^[1] Mary Ann Carthew was born in 1851, daughter of Henry Carthew (1819–1905) and Sarah Booker (~1826–~1905).

Mary died on 31 May 1885 in Chewton, Colony of Victoria, aged 33.^{[2] [3]}
