Before 1834, Jane CARSON, daughter of Thomas CARSON, a farmer, was born likely in Ireland.^[1][2]

On August 25, 1854, Jane of full age, a spinster, and James RUTLEDGE of full age, a bachelor and farmer, were married in the Mullaghdun Church Of Ireland, Cleenish Parish, County Fermanagh, Ireland. Jane was residing in Cleggan, Cleenish Parish and James was residing in Corraglass, Cleenish Parish. The witnesses were Robert BUCHANAN and William CARSON.^[3][2]
