Biography

Jane Ann Carlton was born in about 1830 in Virginia. She died on January 1, 1860 in Evening Shade, Sharp County, Arkansas. She died shortly after the birth of her son, John. Dr. Dobbins returned shortly to North Carolina with his three children, before entering the Civil War, then returning to Tennessee, with his three children.[1]
