Susannah Carley (married name Mapleson) was born about 1818, the daughter of Sarah (Jew) Carley and John Carley.^{[citation needed]}

She was married to Francis Joseph Mapleson.^{[citation needed]} Their children were:^{[citation needed]}

• Joe Mapleson (1852?–1879)
• Henry John Mapleson (1856–1927)
• Frederick William Mapleson (1858?–1937?)

Susannah died in 1884 in Drouin, Victoria, Australia, aged 66 years.^[1][2] Her remains were buried in Ripplebrook Cemetery, Ripplebrook, Victoria.
