Biography

John Carey, a farmer, passed away 18 Feb 1937, at the age of 79. His residence was in Weatherford, Texas. His parents were Patrick Carey and Ellen Farrell, who were both born in Ireland. John was born in Madison, Wisconsin. He hadn't farmed in one year prior to his death. He lived in Weatherford, Texas for 40 years. The informant was Miss Lillian Carey of Weatherford, Texas. The cause of death was prostatic disease. He's buried at Oakland Cemetery.[1] [2]

Margaret had 5 out of 6 children still living at the time of the census. John was born in Wisconsin, USA, and his parents were born in Ireland. Margaret and her parents were born in Vermont. The children were born in Texas. The children's father was born in Canada. John was born Aug 1857. Margaret was born May 1858. Ellen was born Nov 1880. Harriet was born Oct 1883. Mary was born Oct 1885. Alta was born Dec 1887. Cathrine was born Sep 1889. John was a farmer.[4]

In 1910, John Carey, age 53, was living in Justice Precinct 1, Parker, Texas, with his sister-in-law, Margerett M Carey, a widow, age 52, and his nieces, Hattie E, age 26, Mary E, age 24, Alta M, age 22, Kattie, age 20. John, a farmer, was born in Wisconsin, Margerett M was born in Vermont, and John's nieces were born in Texas. John's parents were born in Ireland. Margerett M's parents were born in Vermont. The children's father was born in Canada. Margerett had 5 out of 6 children still living.[5]

In 1920, John Cairy, a farmer, age 62, was living in Justice Precinct 1, Parker, Texas. He was born in Wisconsin, and his parents were born in Ireland. [6]
