Elizabeth (Casswell) Brown was born in Billingborough, Lincolnshire, England.

Eliz[abe]th, daughter of Tho[ma]s Casswell & Sarah, was baptised on 31 January 1806 in Billingborough, Lincolnshire.[1]

Elizabeth married George Brown on 14 February 1826 in Sleaford, Lincolnshire.[2]

Research Note

Elizabeth's LNAB was Casswell. In some documents it has been written with a long medial 's' (that looks like an f without the bar) and incorrectly transcribed as Capwell. The surname has also been written as Castle, a phonetic/pronunciation error eg the GRO birth registration for Elizabeth's daughter has Elizabeth's mother's Maiden name as Castle and in the 1851 census, the Elizabeth and George Brown were visited by Thomas and Sarah Castle probably Elizabeth's parents Thomas and Sarah Casswell.
