William Candler was born July 2,1918.^[1]

William Candler Jr. was enumerated as son of the head of household at 64 Springdale Road, Decatur, DeKalb County, Georgia for the January 3, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1916 in Georgia and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William Candler, wife Bessey Candler, daughter Rena E Candler, servant Martha Smith and servant Will Murphy.^[2]

William Candler Jr. was enumerated as son of the household in 440 Springdale Road NE, Militia District 0531, DeKalb County, Georgia for the April 14, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1919 in Georgia and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William Candler, wife Bennie T Candler and daughter Rena E Candler.^[3]

William Candler was listed in an August 11, 1937 New York, New York Passenger from Southampton, as living at Biltmore Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia. His place of birth was listed as Atlanta, Georgia as seen in an image of the passenger list. He was traveling with Bennie Candler on the ship Aquitania.^[4]
