Glen Campbell was an American rock and country music singer, musician, songwriter, television host and actor. Glen is best known for a series of hits in the 1960s and 1970s, and for hosting a music and comedy variety show called The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour on CBS television from January 1969 through June 1972.[1][2]
In the 1940 census Glen (age 4) was the son of Wesley Campbell in Billstown, Pike, Arkansas, United States.[6]
In the 1950 census Glen (age 13) was the married son of J Wesley Campbell in Saline Township, Pike, Arkansas, United States.[7]
At 17, Glen moved to Albuquerque to be in his uncle "Boo's" (William Eugene Campbell) band, the Dick Bills and the Sandia Mountain Boys.[3]
In 1955, Glen married Diane Marie Kirk, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, they divorced in 1959.[3]
Glen married Billie Jean Nunley on 20 September 1959 in Clark County, Nevada.[8][9] Glen and Billie Jean divorced in September 1975 in Los Angeles, California.[10]
Glen married on 17 September 1976 in Carson City, Nevada.[11][12] Glen was divorced from Sarah J on 23 December 1980 in Los Angeles.[13]
In 1982, Glen married in Phoenix, Arizona.[14][15]
Glen died (aged 81) on 8 August 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee.[16]
