Biography
Joseph was born in 1822 in Tomintoul, Kirkmichael, Bnffshire He was the son of Charles Dow and Lilias Grant. [1]
Joseph first married Ann (Henderson) Cameron (abt.1825-abt.1848) and had 2 sons, Charles Cameron (1845-1928) and Joseph (born about 1848), Ann must have died very soon after the birth of Joseph, as Joseph (Snr) then married Mary Ann (Berry) Cameron (1829-1930) [2]
Mary Ann and Joseph had at least a further 12 children together, as well as bringing up Joseph's 2 other sons.
Joseph passed away in 1898 at Campfield, Glassel, Kincardine O'Neil, Aberdeenshire, and is buried in Kincardine O'Neil Churchyard
