Minerva was born in 1801 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Flanders Callaway and Jemima Boone. When she was a child, she moved to Missouri where on 22 Oct 1818 in St Charles, Missouri she married John Jones. They had ten known children. Settling in Warren County where he worked as a physician, it is here she passed away in 1820 and is buried at the Jones Family Cemetery alongside with her husband.
