Callihan was born June 1 1834 in Morrow County, Ohio, and died Feb 5, 1908 ... He was united in marriage with Catharine J. Gibbons June 12, 1869. To this union were born two sons, Edgar and Clyde, both of whom reside at Cardington. At the age of twenty-seven he enlisted in Co. I, 3d O.V.I., and served his country three years and was honorably discharged. Those left ... are a wife and two sons; two stepsons, Wm. Gibbons of Sunbury, O., and John Gibbons of Cardington, who lived him as an own father; also a sister, Mrs. Lucy Barry of Cardington, and a half-sister, Mrs. Mary Thomas of Detroit, Michigan; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many friends and neighbors.
