Hello PV Fludder,

May be you could also add the following link? It's from the project Lost Wings '40-'45. https://www.tracesofwar.nl/sights/119662/Herinneringsbord-Crashlocatie-Mosquito-Mk-VI-HX966-EG-D-RNZAF-487-Squadron.htm The following link is to the Dutch death certificate. It states that on the tenth of december it was found that D E Cake was dead. So the tenth of december 1943 would probably be the DOD. This is the same date as the flight of the mosquito when it was shot down. http://alledrenten.nl/akte/d-e-cake/f141e214-d25d-47d3-9896-757faf62be17
