Research Note
There is no documented proof that Michael Caissie was the father of Roger Caissie. Stephen White in the Dictionnaire généalogique des familles acadiennes does not mention the names of Roger's parents.[1]

If you are descended via Roger then Michael may not be your ancestor. As the profile says, there is no documented evidence that Roger Caissie's father was named Michael. I actually removed him from my own personal tree, but since you can't delete profiles here...and to keep others from adding him as Roger's father, this is attached with the fatherhood noted as uncertain.

Donna, I see you recently made these notations which make it clear that he might or even probably is not the father of Roger. The Acadian Porjects's practice for the no documentation situation would be to disconnect this father and leave research notes in the Roger Caisse profile too. Since Roger is PPP then no one can reconnect them without an attempt at collaboration. Thank you for adopting and your care about this situation. Cindy
