Elizabeth Agnes Cairns (married name Sargeant) was born around 1871 in Kapunda, South Australia, the daughter of Mary (Cain) Cairns and Michael Cairns.^{[citation needed]}

She married William Charles Sargeant on 8 April 1897 at Trinity Church in East Melbourne, Victoria.^[1] Their son was:

• Gilbert Gerard Sargeant (1906–1970)^[2]

Elizabeth died on 16 July 1936 in Fitzroy, Victoria.^[3]
