Biography

My family lived in Friday Harbor, San Juan, Washington, United States when I was born. Upon graduation from high school in 1980, I attended Seattle University 1980-1984. I then started my career at The Boeing Company in June 1985 and retired from The Boeing Company in March 2018.

I met my husband in January 1994 in Hailey, Idaho while on a ski trip to Sun Valley, Idaho. We married in July 2013.

Now that both of us are retired, we spend half the year in Newcastle, King, Washington, United States and the other half in Ketchum, Blaine, Idaho, United States.

I enjoy alpine and nordic skiing, kayaking, fly fishing, and traveling.

Hi Dave, the US Civil War Project is conducting a Check-in for 2024 to see if your still interested/active in the Project.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you. You can click the reply button or message me with your answer. Thank you. Pam Kreutzer, Leader of the US Civil War Project

Yes I am still interested. My great great grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Stockton, was a private in the Union Army, Member of the Missouri 7th Regiment, Calvary, Company K - Union Army, United States. He enlisted, deserted, then came back into his regiment but later died of the measles in a military hospital in Arkansas. He was initially buried at Hardin Lake, near Pine Bluff, Arkansas but later his remains were moved to Plot #2713, Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Confederate Boulevard, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206, USA.

I know I have other family members on both sides of the Civil War but haven't done as much research on them yet.

Here are some more of my ancestors who fought in the Civil War. I plan on going to the National Archives in Seattle to get more information on their service records and pensions.

James Edgar Wilkins (1831-1895). Enlisted August 13, 1862 and discharged June 6, 1865. Served in 104th Illinois infantry. His granddaughter, Henrietta Rose Reed remembers his telling her about Sherman’s March to the Sea as well as about Andersonville Prison Camp.

Dave you have such a rich history, I had two gggrandfather's who served in the Union, one of them had two sons who also joined. Then my other gggrandfather left NC, but his brothers stayed and they served on the CSA side while he served on the USA side.

Hi, Dave

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
