Biography

Sarah was born in 1817. She is the daughter of George Cadman. Sarah Cadman was baptized 15 May 1817 at Gnosall, Staffs, daughter of George Cadman wheelwright and Mary of Bramstone Heath. In 1841 her father George Cadman 60 ag lab lived at Gnosall with Sarah 20.

Joseph Lockley of full age bac labourer of Bromstead, son of William Lockley labourer, married Sarah Cadman of full age sp servant, daughter of George Cadman carpenter, on 13 Sept 1842 at Gnosall, both making their mark . In 1851 her father George Cadman 74 widower small property lived at Moreton with son-in-law Joseph Lockley 35 farm labourer, daughter Sarah Lockley 33, and granddaughters Mary Lockley 7 and Harriet Lockley 12, all born at Gnosall.
