It shows on GEDMatch that we share DNA. I have hit a road block at a Paul Cardarella born in 1906. He married Opal Jackson around 1945. I am wondering if the name Cardarella was changed from Cacciatore. I have found absolutely no CARDARELLAs on here. If you have any information I would sure appreciate the help,

Hi Tina,

I have no Cardarella in my tree on Ancestry or a Opal Jackson. I will look on Gedmatch and see how we share DNA. My Jackson side was from Alabama and moved to Texas. The Cacciatore side is from Sicily. My grandpa came here to the US in 1906 to Aguilar, CO. I would love to help you and you maybe able to help me on my Jackson side.

Here is my GED # RR8004495

I am looking for my Grandfathers true identity, We were always told he was born in Galveston, TX in 1888 and lived with an Uncle on a hog farm in Texas after his parents passed away. He said the Uncle was very mean and abusive so he ran away and changed his name. He never said what his birth name was. But now with DNA I have found out he was from Italy. The ones I believe to be his parents came to the US in 1888 but all of the sons and daughters that I can find are accounted for. But I have ran into 3 families that I don't know where they fit in. And they are from Alabama, Louisiana and Texas.

I just checked my matches on Ancestry and I am related to a Miranda Cacciatore

Tina,

I can not find a match to you on Gedmatch or FTDNA, or Ancestry. I am not related to a Miranda Cacciatore. So I don’t know how to help you. I’m so sorry. If you can show me where on Gedmatch I will look. Kathy
