- Catherine married James FLOOD and they lived and worked on their farm 'Riverview' in Carcoar, NSW. After James passed away, Catherine ran the property with her children. Some of her sons enlisted to serve in WWII, so the girls continued to work with their mother.

Catherine passed away in 1957. The headstone memorial says aged 86, but using the BDM NSW records, she was 83.[2]
Research Notes
Daughter ; MISS CLARE FLOOD. The death occurred at 2.30 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, at the Carcoar District Hospital of Miss Winifred Clare Flood at the age of 34 years. Clare had been in ill-health for a very considerable period, and had previously been an inmate of Carcoar Hospital. During the war period in the absence her brothers in the Services, Clare rendered great assistance on her mother's property, and at a later period was a member of the nursing staff of the Carcoar Hospital. She was a native of Carcoar, and was held in high esteem by everyone. The third daughter of the late James Flood and of Mrs. C. Flood, of "Riverview," Carcoar, she leaves her mother, three sisters, Millie (Sydney), Kath, Patricia (Carcoar), and brothers (Raymond (Sydney), Jack, Frank and Brian (Carcoar).
