"Joseph Butterick ye son of Jonathan Butterick & Elisabeth his wife was born January 9th 1723/4."[1] Joseph was son of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Wooley) Butterick" and was born January 9, 1723/1724 in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[2][3]
"Joseph Buttrick & Sarah Brown both of Concord were married by the Revd. Wm. Bliss July 23, 1751."[4][5]
Joseph Buttrick assisted in establishing American Independence when he fought with his brother Col. John Buttrick, who commanded the Americans at the Concord fight at the commencement of the Revolutionary War. [n.b. more to follow, Ann Dysart 12/27/2021]

"Joseph Buttrick, husband of Sarah Buttrick died December 30, 1803, [aged 80. ch. rec.]"[11] He was buried in Old Hill Burying Ground, Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.[12]
