Enid Sidney Butters was born on 27th January 1918 in Main Road, Lower Sandy Bay, Tasmania, Australia. She was the daughter of John Butters (later Sir John), an English-born engineer. and Lilian Keele (later Lady Butters). [1] The family moved to the infant Canberra in 1924 and to Wahroonga, in Sydney's leafy northern suburbs, in 1929.
Enid married John Milne in 1951 in Sydney's northern suburbs. [2]
