Robert died on 19 March 2023 and was buried in Neoga, Cumberland, Illinois, United States.^[2][3]

Bio: Robert E. "Bob" Burton 79, of rural Toledo, Illinois, passed away at 8:28 AM Sunday, March 19, 2023 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois. He was born October 2, 1943 in Coles County, Illinois the son of Lester E. And O. Juanita (Noles) Burton. Bob married Myrna Joann Cooper June 21, 1964 in Neoga, Illinois. Joann passed away March 2, 2023. Mr. Burton was a retired Photo Lithographer for World Color Press in Effingham, Illinois. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Neoga, Illinois, The Toledo Masonic Lodge, life member of the V.F.W. and a member of the Neoga American Legion of Neoga, Illinois. Bob liked classic cars like the 1955, 1956 and 1957 Chevys, Corvettes, Nascar, Rodeo, Calf Roping and Team Roping and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, M. Joann Burton; sister, Dorothy Burton.

Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery of Neoga, Illinois with Military Services by the Neoga American Legion Post 458 of Neoga, Illinois.
