- Burrow Killed at Dalhart Friday
- John A Burrow, 74, was killed near Dalhart Friday night when his chest was crushed under the wheels of a truck. He was a brother of C. R. Burrow of Canyon.
- Mr. Burrow, his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Art Gossen, had started home from Dalhart with a load of cattle, about 10:30 at night. Mr. Burrow thought one of the cows was down in the truck, and the driver, Mr. Gossen started to stop the truck. Mr. Burrow stepped out while the truck was still moving, stumbled and fell under the wheel. His chest was crushed.
- Mrs. Gossen ran back to Dalhart, but her father was dead before an ambulance could get him to a hospital.
- Survivors are the widow, and two children, Mrs. Gossen, and a son, J. A. Burrow, Jr., of Ware; two brothers, C. R. Burrow and Jim Burrow of Dalhart; one sister, Mrs. Mary Moncrief of Greenwood, La.; and three grandchildren.
