Hi Michael

Just a note to say how much the work you are doing in relation to the Cassidy surname is appreciated, thank you.

You may be interested in adding your Cassidy profile to the Cassidy One Name Study (ONS), there is a category you can add to these profiles, See how to add categories to your Cassidy profiles  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Cassidy_Name_Study   these links can just be copied and pasted into profiles

This is a link to the space page for the Cassidy One Name Study -  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Cassidy_Name_Study

My Paternal Great Grandmother was a Cassidy of Irish origin.

If I can be of any help let me know just click reply or sent me private message

Hello there and thank you, I will look into adding all i have to that page etc. I have slowed down a bit on wikitree as just paid a years membership to myheritage and have found so many more cassidys and links to the Nolan family.

May i ask what your Great Grandmothers name is? and i will have a look at my tree and see if she is listed.

Hope to hear from you soon. Mike Burke.

This is my Great Grandmother https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cassidy-1261 my cousin and I have only got back to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cassidy-1263 Born 1792

I have recently been given a family history booklet linking us to the surname Barclay ( a Cassidy that changed his surname by using his middle name instead of as his surname) when he emigrated to the USA

Would be interesting to see were the profiles may link up

All the best Janet

Hi Michael,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

Hi Michael!

Thanks for joining us! I hope you're enjoying our site and our community. I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Has the New Member How To Pages been helpful or has it left you with questions?

It's great to have you on board. Enjoy your time here, and good luck growing your branches. If you need help be sure to use the "reply link" for this comment so that I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment on my profile page.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Welcome, Michael! You are now a Family Member -- your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together!

Start with the New Member How-To pages — they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around.

Have a look at the GEDcom help pages. You should find useful info about uploading your tree. One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that many members have found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Click the green tags near the top of your profile and see others following the same surnames you are researching. The more tags you add (20 max.) that include surnames, locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to community research options you will have. To edit or add more tags, click on the word “following” or use this link. This page will help you learn more about tags. Tags work best when they are single surnames, locations, etc.

If you have any questions, please ask. I am happy to help! If I can't answer, I will help you find someone who can. Contact me using the "reply" link under my comment or by clicking on my name and then post a comment or send me a message.

P.S. If you get error messages when you click links from WikiTree emails, try the links from your profile page.
