• According to the results of the Burch DNA project, the DNA signature for descendants of Joseph Burch, from his son Henry Burch (born about 1806) of Georgia, matches with a Burch family from Caroline County, in northeastern Virginia. Caroline County is not far from southeastern Maryland. ^[7] Family later settled in Surry County, North Carolina ^[6]
