Ann was born in Ephratah, Fulton County, New York in 1834. She married Daniel Schram about 1857 and had two children, Byron and Camilla.
Ann was a nurse for eight months during the US Civil War at Frederick, Maryland serving soldiers wounded at South Moutain and Antietam. She served until her health was impaired by the rigors of camp life and exhaustion which required her return to home life.[1].
Anna and her husband, in their 70s, is living with their grandaughter shown in the 1910 census:[2]

She passed away in 1911, and is interred in Fort Plain Cemetery, Fort Plain, Montgomery County, New York. Find A Grave: Memorial #186058166[3].
I have never regretted that I went to nurse the soldiers in those dark days. I have stood by the bedside of many a dying man, and those scenes are fresh in my memory to-day.
